Enveritas signed a research agreement with Western Highlands Agriculture and Forestry Science Institute

On July 7th, 2021, the Asia regional expert – representative of Enveritas in Vietnam visited and officially launched the project with Western Highlands Agriculture and Forestry Science Institute (WASI). Representatives of Jacobs Douwe Egberts (JDE) and Nestlé Vietnam Co., Ltd being sponsors also attended the project kickoff meeting.

Participants from WASI including WASI’s Leadership Board, Division of Science management and International cooperation, Devision of Agricultural Systems and the Central Laboratory welcomed the delegates.

Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hue – the Asia regional expert – representative of Enveritas in Vietnam gave a brief introduction of Enveritas. Enveritas headquartered in New York (USA) is a NGO founded in 2016 with the mission of ending poverty for farmers in the global coffee sector.

With the desire of improvement of coffee production efficiency as well as reduction of adverse effect to the environment based on the rational use of fertilizers for each region, Enveritas and WASI have worked together and come to an agreement to implement the project “Correcting of overuse of fertilizer in Vietnam”.

On behalf of Nestle, Mr. Pham Phu Ngoc – Agricultural Services Manager ( ASD) – Chief Company Representative in the Central Highlands Regions and Mr. Do Ngoc Sy – Sustainability Manager, APAC (JDE) expressed their belief in the success of the project collaborated between Enveritas and WASI, as well as the best outcomes of the project.

The two parties also exchanged to the signed contracts and took memorial pictures.

On behalf of WASI, Dr. Tran Vinh – Acting Director would like to express his sincere and deep thanks to Enveritas as well as donors for their interest and trust in the cooperation with WASI. At the same time, Dr. Tran Vinh also directed the WASI’s departments implementing the Project to try their best to fulfill the Project’s objectives for the gain of best outcomes.
